Police Arrest Man Who Poured Acid On Lover After 8 Months

The police have arrested Ishmael Agbeshie, the man who poured acid on his girlfriend, Comfort Tawiah at Bawjiase in the Central Region in December 2021.

Ishmael was arrested after the Awutu Bawjiase Police Command got intelligence that he was heading toward Kasoa in a car.

It is reported that upon getting to a checkpoint between Kasoa and Bawjiase, Ishmael was signalled to stop but refused.

He was then given a chase by a police officer who succeeded in arresting him after deflating his car tyre with a bullet, according to reports.

The 34-year-old man poured the acid on Comfort after arguments over her fidelity.

The incident has reportedly left Comfort blind.
