Police Arrest Guardian, 1 Other For Physical Abuse of 11-year-old Girl
The police have arrested the guardian of an 11-year-old girl and another suspect for subjecting her to physical abuse in a viral video.
The incident happened at Agona Jamasi in the Ashanti Region.
According to the police, the girl was subjected to abuse when she failed to return home on December 6, 2025.
The suspects have been identified as Grace Mensah and Osei Akoto.
Akoto, during police interrogation, said he had the authorisation of Grace, the girl’s grandmother, to assault her.
The victim has since been rescued, while both suspects have been handed over to the Mampong Regional Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit for further investigations.
