Police Administration Moves to Address Fundamental Welfare Needs of Junior Police officers

The police administration has moved to address the fundamental welfare needs of junior police officers in Ghana.
Chief Inspector Angel Lolo Esq, representative for junior ranks on the Ghana Police Service Council, has completed a historic nationwide tour which was aimed at directly engaging junior officers across the country.
This significant initiative reflects a commitment to understanding and addressing the fundamental concerns of frontline personnel across the country.
The tour, which covered all Police regions, focused on identifying the fundamental welfare needs of junior Police officers and exploring viable pathways for career advancement.
Regional commanders across Ghana acknowledged this initiative as a novelty in the Service’s approach to junior officer welfare, marking a significant shift toward bottom-up engagement.
Creating platforms for open conversation ensures that the voices of junior ranks are heard at the highest levels of the Police Administration.
This proactive approach underscores the importance of participatory governance within the Ghana Police Service under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno.
The tour climaxed in Accra, where Chief Inspector Lolo met with junior officers of the Police Headquarters formation.
