{Pictures}: Black Starlets Go Training After Semis Qualification
The Black Starlets are back on the training grounds in preparation towards their next game in the next round of the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship after gloriously sailing through the Group Stage.
The U-17 team finished first in Group A after their convincing 2-0 victory against Benin in their last group game on Tuesday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Goals from Mark Kagawa and Theophilus Ayamga in the first half were enough to send Coach Laryea Kingston’s side to the semi-final stage of the competition.
Ghana topped the group with 6 points, scoring 7 goals and conceding just one in the process.
The team will know their fate after the final Group B games on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. They will face 2nd-placed side in Group B.
In Group B, Burkina Faso are currently on top of the table with 4 points after two games, followed by Nigeria on same points, but separated by goal difference.
Niger, who have 3 points from two games, will come up against Burkina Faso on Wednesday, same time as Nigeria take on whipping boys Togo,
The tournament is also the qualifier for the U17 AFCON to be played next year.
