Parliament Hints At Second Edition of Democracy Cup

The Parliament of Ghana has hinted at a second edition of the Democracy Cup match next month.

The one-off match was first held in 2024 between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, where the Porcupines lifted the coveted trophy.

The unveiling of the second edition will take place at Justice D. F. Annan Auditorium on 24th July 2025 at 3:00 pm at the Parliament House.

It will be spearheaded by Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, a statement by Parliament noted.

“The launch will serve as a platform for announcing the two competing teams this year, as well as all other details.

“This second edition promises a lot of excitement and surprises, and therefore, the general public and football fans are encouraged to support and participate in the upcoming game.”
