Paluta Seeks Answers Over TGMA Board’s ‘Unpopular’ Decision on ‘Makoma’ Nomination

The Management of King Paluta is seeking answers to the exclusion of ‘Makoma’ from the recently released Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) nominations.
According to the team, the decision is “unpopular” and has since petitioned the Board as the said song breaches no moral or ethical requirement of the board.
It disclosed the song was submitted for consideration for Most Popular Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Hiplife Song of the Year while the artiste himself was submitted for Songwriter of the Year.
In a statement issued on March 18, it argued that the song stands as Ghana’s most popular song released in the year under review, generating the most excitement amongst music lovers to date.
“This concern has become necessary after the team realized none of the categories we submitted the said material for was considered after the official nominee’s announcement.
“We believe in the competence of the TGMA board and trust that a convincing reason be issued to our team, music enthusiasts and the general public on this unpopular decision of the board!”
It noted that it is ready to engage for possible consideration of the song in the earlier submitted categories.
