Otumfuo Urges Roads Minister to Fix Sewua Road to Operationalise Hospital
The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has urged the Minister for Roads and Highways to provide the needed road infrastructure to make the inoperative Sewua Hospital functional.
His Majesty recognises that the poor road network is principal among the limitations rendering the facility non-functional.
During an engagement with Minister Governs Kwame Agbodza on April 10, 2026, His Majesty highlighted the critical nature of the road to the health facility.
He urged the Minister to grant the needed attention as soon as possible.
The Asantehene noted that making the facility functional would go a long way to ease congestion at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
“Sewua hospital will reduce congestion at Komfo Anokye if operationlised. Do well to work on the road for us.”
