Otumfuo To Attend KOSS 70th Anniversary
Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will attend the 70th Anniversary of Konongo Odumase Senior High School (KOSS).
The anniversary will be celebrated later this month.
The King said this when a delegation from the school led by Chief of Odumase, Nana Kofi Antwi II called on him at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
Other members of the delegation included Lawyer S. K. Boafo, former Ashanti regional Minister, Dr Philip Yaw Amakye, Board Chairman of the school, Dr Benjamin Kwaku Baah, headmaster of the school and Mr Eric Maafo, the school’s accountant.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Lawyer S. K. Boafo implored the king to attend their 70th anniversary which is slated for February 25, 2023.
He said it will be the first time any Monarch has attended such an event at the school.
In response, Otumfuo said he will honour the invitation in person.
“I always designate someone to attend your programmes but I will attend this event myself. It’s been a while since I came to the school.”
He recognised that KOSS has produced numerous dignitaries and commended the authorities.
He also charged them to steer the school’s administration efficiently.
