Otumfuo Sanctions investigations into Alleged Dedesua Land Sale by Jedesco

The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has ordered an in-depth investigation into allegations of the sale of Dedesua lands by Jedesco, a real estate company.

At a Kumasi Traditional Council meeting on December 11, 2025, the case relating to multiple ownership claims to Dedesua was called for an update.

The Committee investigating the case outlined a series of Great Oath invocations that had been impeding their progress on the probe.

Otumfuo, in response, proposed allowing the real estate company to carry out the land development project to avoid further delay ahead of the conclusion of the case and sought the consent of the involved chiefs.

Nana Akomea Sakyi Tutu Ampam II, Abountemhene, accused Jedesco of defying orders to halt all activities on the land, disclosing he had evidence to that effect.

Otumfuo, therefore, directed Nana Abountemhene to send his evidence to the Committee for scrutiny to verify the veracity of the claims.

“The outcome of the investigation will determine whether the company will be allowed to carry out its work or not. We want to develop the land not sell it. Left for sale alone, we would have delegated it to Nananom.”
