Otumfuo Pays Courtesy Visit to Barbados PM Mia Mottley
The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has paid a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister of Barbados, The Hon Mia Mottley.
The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, opened a three-day state visit to the Island country.
The meeting featured an exploration of possible avenues for strengthening ties between Ghana and Barbados, as well as Asante and the Caribbean.
Accompanied by prominent Asante chiefs, including Nana Otuo Sereboe II, Juabenhene, the meeting also witnessed an exchange of gifts between the royal leader and the government leader.
His Majesty presented pieces of Kente cloth to the head of government of Barbados, which communicated her uniqueness.
The Monarch, as part of his itinerary, will grace the prestigious 16th GUBA Awards.
Among His Majesty’s delegation are Nana Effah Apenteng, Bompatamanhene; Nana Agyekum Kusi Ababio, Oyokohene; Oheneba Owusu Korkor, Asamponghene; and Baffour Kantankrakyi, Otumfuo Kyeame.
