Otumfuo Mobile Dental outreach: 32 Communities Benefit So Far
Thirty-two (32) communities have so far benefited from the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Mobile Dental Outreach program since it commenced in the month of May this year.
The Otumfuo Dental Outreach aims at providing direct services to the people in rural areas to help bridge the gap between rural and urban health.
Around the world, the health status of people in rural areas is generally worse than in urban areas, a reason the Asantehene has painstakingly taken this great step to arrest the situation at hand.
And with the concentration of poverty, low health status and high burden of disease in rural areas, there is a need to focus specifically on improving the health of people in rural and remote areas, particularly if the urban drift is to be reversed.
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, ever since he was ascended on the Golden Stool, he has played pivotal role in National development through his foundation to assuage various afflictions of his people.
