Otumfuo is a Chancellor Par Excellence – Youth Development Group
The Young Professionals and Young Coalition (YPYC) has hailed the Monarch of the Asante Kingdom and Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, as exceptional.
His Majesty earned this with his remarkable arbitration skills in ending a violent feud between the students of KNUST and the Management in 2018.
The non-profit youth development-oriented organization extolled Otumfuo as an extraordinary Chancellor in a citation they presented to him on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, during a courtesy call to the Manhyia Palace.
“Your Royal Majesty, yet another credit to your name, was the win-win mediation of the KNUST impasse between the Students, University Authorities and Government. You are a Chancellor par excellence.”
They also hailed Otumfuo for the same skills and wisdom he exhibited in ending the almost two-decade dispute in Dagbon and other parts of the country.
“Above all, your name is etched in Gold for the pioneering role played in ending several chieftaincy feuds, notably the intractable Dabon Chieftaincy Conflict which you skillfully navigated to secure the current peace being enjoyed by the people. By this, you demonstrated that exceptional transformational leadership and charisma are time-specific and that you understand change is life’s best Innovation and invention.”
The YPYC delegation made up of members of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) chapter was led by their founder and president, Mr Andy Okrah.
As part of their mission, Mr Okrah humbly invited Otumfuo to their 15th Transformational Summit slated for July 6, 2024. This will mark the 15th anniversary of the organisation.
