Otumfuo Entrusts Boankra Project With Ghana’s New South Korean Ambassador

 
Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has entrusted the resurgence of the Boankra Inland Port Project with Ghana’s Ambassador to South Korea, Mrs. Charis Zwennes.
According to Otumfuo, the port has seen weak signals from its concessionaires: Ashanti Port Service Limited (Afum Quality Limited of Ghana) and DSS Association of South Korea which needs to be worked upon, therefore tasks the new Ambassador with.
At Manhyia Palace, His Majesty commended Her Excellency Mrs. Charis Zwennes on her appointment and further urged her to justify the position by attracting investors for partnership.
On the official visit, Mrs. Zwennes, was accompanied by her spouse and son: Lawyer Charles Zwennes and Christopher Zwennes respectively.
In her address, the Ambassador announced her awareness on the importance of the Inland Port to Ghanaians and pledged to put in her maximum effort for its resurgence.
She asked for His Majesty’s blessings and support in the discharge of her ambassadorial duties.
The $330million funded project seeks to provide over 60,000 direct and indirect job opportunities and also ease pressure at the Tema Port whiles promoting trading activities in the country.
Mrs. Charis Zwennes was appointed by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo to head the country’s mission in South Korea.
