Otumfuo Charity Foundation Registers Over Two hundred JHS 1 Students For Free ICT Tuition

Otumfuo Charity Foundation has registered 300 Junior High School students for free ICT tuition at Abbey’s park auditorium, Ashanti-New Town(Ashtown).

The Classes which start on Monday, October 5, 2020, will provide a unique platform for the students, who are yet at home due to the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic to study and equip themselves with various aspects of Information and Communication Technology.

An initiative of the occupant of the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and sponsored by Agroecom and powered by Opemsuo FM will cover JHS 1 students at Ashtown, CPC, K.O., Dichemso, Alabaa and etc for two weeks.

After two weeks constant training, the team will move to different area to organize the classes for other students.

Otumfuo Charity Foundation has been an contributory instrument in this period of COVID-19 in the world by providing Literature books and dictionaries to aid the students study whilst at home.

The Otumfuo Education Fund which has been in existence for about 20 years has been a game-changer in the transformation agenda of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Although Otumfuo Osei Tutu started off with education, he later expanded his development programmes to include four other thematic areas namely, Health, Culture & Heritage, and Water & Sanitation.

The Otumfuo Charity Foundation has empowered many people, setting them up for a better standard of living. The Foundation was borne out of the need to do more to help people stand on their own in the Ashanti Kingdom and beyond.

Its Patron and Founder, Opemsuo Osei Tutu Ababio, has immensely supported the Foundation which is in its 10th year running.

With initiatives like the Yiedie Programme, Otumfuo Education Fund, The Otumfuo Teachers’ Awards, the Foundation continues to make impact all across the country.
