Otumfuo Can’t be Omitted From COA’s Success Story- CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of COA Research and Manufacturing Limited Company, Prof Samuel Ato Duncan has shared the pivotal role of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in the glorious evolution of the company.

He described Otumfuo as a “wonderful” personality behind him and the company he founded few years ago.

This was during a visit by the Asantehene to the factory based at Wusorkrom in Abura Asebu Kwamankese District in the Central Region on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

The visit concluded His Majesty’s three-day working visit to the Central Region.

With a guard of honour, the workers waved the flags of Asanteman to welcome Otumfuo into their abode.

Receiving Otumfuo and his delegation at their conference hall were the CEO, the Board Chairman, Daasebre Kwebu Awusi, the Deputy CEO, Dr Grace Bimpong, the Administrator, Dr Nsiah Agyemang and other management members.

Praise

In his remarks, Ato Duncan praised the Occupant of the Golden Stool for his confidence in his vision and the unflinching support he has given to the company ever since.

According to him, Otumfuo has excellently played the role of a patron since it’s establishment.

He noted that the role the King plays cannot be omitted whenever the success story has to be told.

“There is no way I will mention the success story of COA Research and Manufacturing Limited Company without Otumfuo. He has been a wonderful personality.”

Awards

Prof Ato Duncan further informed and presented his latest award from International Achievements Research Centre to Otumfuo.

This, he received, in 2022.

He also informed His Majesty about 35 others he had won at national and international levels.

He expressed his pride in the King and relayed his desire to make the King proud with his vision and ventures.

Products

Walking His Majesty through their line of products on the market and others yet to start and/or get approval, he said the company started with the production of COA FX which was withdrawn later after a controversy.

He said they then came out with COA Mixture, a 100% herbal and natural product for general well-being to fight diseases. He recalled that it was used in the treatment of COVID at its peak.

He also talked of COA Plus, an enhanced formula of COA Mixture and an immune system support against compromise.

“It helps fight varieties of diseases.”

Next was the COA Malaria Typhoid (MT) Mixture made from Nim tree.

“Nim tree was used to treat malaria in the olden days. All its good elements have been extracted for this product.”

He also told Otumfuo about the COA Capsules which has been approved by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) and yet to be produced commercially.

Other products yet to come onto the market include an injectable medication which he anticipates to fetch Ghana $50 million annually.

This, he said, is still under research and will help fight virus and treat cancer.

The factory for this line of product will be constructed in the Ashanti Region on a tract of land the King has given to the company.

Other products in the pipeline include COA Energy water, COA Balm and COA Ointment.

He also informed Otumfuo about a new book titled “Blueprint for Sustainable Development” which will be launched on November 18.

Before that, he wants His Majesty to peruse it.

Following the conversation Otumfuo took a tour of the factory with the leadership of the company.
