Apprentices Must Appreciate Their Profession – GNTDA Chairman

Mr Isaac Mensah, the chairman of ‘Manhyia Zone’ of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA) has urged all apprentices to take their work serious. He made this statement during the 8th graduation ceremony of GNTDA at Ashtown in the Ashanti Region.

Mr Mensah, advised apprentices in various fields such as tailoring, carpentry and masonry to take their work seriously and focus on developing their skills. He emphasized the importance of appreciating one’s profession in order to excel in it.

He further entreated all parents and guadians to provide equal support and attention to children who choose vocational occupations, just as they do for those who opt for civil service careers.

Also, he highlighted the significance of recognizing and nurturing the potential of apprentices in vocational trades, as they contribute significantly to the development of the country.

The Manhyia Zone of GNTDA is a professional association that seeks to improve the quality of work and promote the interests of tailors and dressmakers in the Ghanaian society. The graduation ceremony is an annual event organized by the association to celebrate the achievements of its apprentices who have completed their training and are ready to embark on their professional careers.
