Opemsuo Radio’s KOD And Agudey Grab Foklex Media Awards
Two of the outstanding presenters of Opemsuo radio, Mr. George Opoku Mensah a.k.a Agudey and Mr. Kwabena Owusu Danquah affectionately called KOD have bagged two awards at this year’s Foklex Media Awards.
KOD was adjudged the Ashanti Sports Show Host of the Year while Agudey won the Ashanti Morning Show Host at the 11th Foklex Media Awards.
In his address, KOD showed appreciation to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, owner of Opemsuo radio, a subsidiary of the Ashanti Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).
“We thank Otumfuo for setting up a media organisation and employing us. We are serving him there. I as well thank our CEO, Mr. Emannuel Osei Sarfo, our General Manager, all staff members, the sports team, and all who made this possible.
“To all the nominees I will say that you all deserved the awards. God bless you”, he said.
On his part, Agudey dedicated the award to the overlord of the Asante Kingdom and disclosed that more thrilling contents were in the pipeline.
“This is to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. 6th May is his birthday. I thank my colleagues from work, and my listeners. We have more in store to deliver”.
The event took place on April 30 at the National Theatre in Accra.
