Opemsuo Radio’s Agudey Donates Sewing Machines To Manhyia Prisons

The Morning Show Host of Opemsuo Radio, George Opoku Mensah, affectionately known as Agudey, has donated Industrial sewing machines to the inmates at the Manhyia Palace Local Prisons.

According to the indefatigable broadcaster, he saw a post on Social media that the inmates needed that machine, and he decided to come to their aid.

The Morning Show Host believes that his support to the inmates will bring an amazing awakening to new hope and purpose to men and women behind bars.

Promoting prison-based rehabilitation or reformation programmes is a winning ground that can cause giant evolution for the inmates, and the donation of industrial sewing machines will create opportunities for inmates so that they can more easily be reintegrated into society and become, once again, active and fulfilled members of their communities.

Speaking to Opemsuo.com, George Opoku Mensah expressed, “The donation is aiming at contributing something positive to the prisoners’ employability after release, and thus reducing chances of recidivism.”

He concluded, “I will plead with all and sundry to also contribute their widow’s mites so that collectively, we can have an impact on the lives of prisoners while behind bars as a way of reducing crime in our communities.”

The donation which was done on Wednesday, February 9, 2020, was assisted by the Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Mr. Samuel Pyne.
