Opemsuo Radio Staff Celebrates Christmas with Asantehene

Workers of Opemsuo Radio, a subsidiary of Ashanti Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), have had a memorable Christmas this year, having the rare honour of celebrating with the Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
It was a special occasion the King afforded to the staff of his media organisation.
Led by the General Manager, Mr Melchizedek Owusu Ansah, the tens of zealous workers including management, on-air, online and auxiliary staff made their way to the seat of the Monarch to pay respect.
As the occasion was used to express appreciation to the King, His Majesty in turn patted the workers for their selfless services throughout the year.
The event was held at the Afia Kobi Park at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi and open to all royals, officials, workers, courtiers, subjects and the general public.
It has been part of the organisation’s annual tradition to join the numerous employees and subjects of the King to extend warm greetings on Christmas day.
The King reserved December 25, 2025, to mark Christmas with his people and staff, embodying the spirit of Christ’s love.
Present at the occasion were Nananom, Former Kumasi Mayor Sam Pyne, New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong and other officials.
Among the workers of Asantehene included staff of Bodukwan Multi Fruit Processing Factory, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, Manhyia Palace Museum, Asante Kotoko SC, and Manhyia Police Division.
