NTC Announces New Date for Teacher Licensure Examination

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has rescheduled the commencing date for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) from March 23, 2026, to March 24, 2026.

In a statement, it said the change had become necessary due to the statutory public holiday to be observed on March 23.

Urging all candidates to take note of the change and comply accordingly, it affirmed that other arrangements remain unchanged.

On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, candidates will sit for General Professional Knowledge; Grade-Level Specialism Pedagogy on March 25 2026; and Multiple Subjects Content/ Single Subjects Specialism on March 26, 2026.

“The National Teaching Council regrets any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciates the cooperation of all candidates and stakeholders,” it said, directing candidates to visit the NTC website or contact the Council through its official channels for further details.
