Nsoatreman Withdraw From GPL

Nsoatreman Football Club have withdrawn from the Ghana Premier League (GPL) following their Sunday match in which a life was claimed.
According to the Communications Director of GFA, Joel Gyempeh, the club tendered in a letter to officially withdraw from the league.
Speaking to MAX FM, Gyempeh said the club in its letter had pledged their full support to assist in investigations.
Ardent Asante Kotoko fan, Frimpong Yaw Francis, popularly known as Nana Pooley, was stabbed to death following the 1-0 defeat to Nsoatreman FC.
This followed a melee that marred the game at Nana Koramansah Park at Nsoatre in the Bono Region on February 2, 2025.
He died at a hospital while receiving treatment, Kotoko confirmed in a statement.
Others suffered various degrees of injuries while damage was caused to some equipment of the visiting club including laptops, communication devices of the technical team, and other essential audio-visual gadgets.
Nsoatreman have since been banned from using Nana Kronamansah Park to host their home games and charged with breaches of Sections 16 of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, and Article 42(6) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019.
