Nsoatreman Pip 10-man Kotoko At Home
Ten-man Asante Kotoko Sporting Club (SC) lost all three points at the Koronmansah II Park in a chase for a win after two consecutive draws following their last win in match week five.
The visitors were severed to ten after Henry Ansu was sent off the pitch for vehemently protesting Stephen Diyou’s 41st-minute goal.
The Porcupine Warriors insisted Diyou made contact with the ball while he was offside, however, the referee’s assistant rejected it, noting it was an onside goal.
The deafening protest by Ansu compelled referee Maxwell Hanson to send him off in no time.
Efforts by the Porcupines to level after recess proved futile with the host taking on the day.
It becomes the third consecutive win for Coach Maxwell Konadu’s side pushing them atop the league table with 16 points, a point ahead of Aduana Stars.
They appear to be in good shape as they have to their name just a loss and draw since the start of the season.
Meanwhile, the Porcupines are in ninth place with 10 points.
In other games on Thursday, Kpando Heart of Lions suffered their first season loss at the hands of Accra Lions.
They conceded two goals but had a consolation goal at last.
