NRSA: We’re Committed To Dealing With Road Indiscipline
The National Road Safety Authority has announced that the Authority is committed to dealing with the level of indiscipline on the road for the safety of human lives.
Speaking on Opemsuo Radio, Head of Communications, Madam Pearl Adusi Gyasi stated that there is a high level of indiscipline on the road on the parts of both drivers and pedestrians which has led to numerous accidents on the road.
According to her, for this reason, the “Arrive Alive Campaign” and the “Stay Alive Campaign” were initiated to deal with this menace in accordance with their research.
The authority found it needful to invite the assistance of stakeholders like the Ghana Police Service in the enforcement process of its various initiatives. Drivers were encouraged to observe strict measures laid down by the authority.
The NRSA Communications Head commended the media for the constant education and promotion of road safety measures as well as projecting the Authority’s activities and campaigns in fighting the road accidents in the country which has contributed to the reduction in its rates this year.
