No Specia Visa Arrangement For Passengers From Kumasi to London- GACL
The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has emphasized that no special visa arrangements have been put in place for persons who would take direct flights from the Prempeh I International Airport in Kumasi to Gatwick Airport in London.
This was announced to discredit a fake press statement purported to be from the Company, announcing special visa arrangements for such travellers.
“Our attention has been drawn to a photoshopped statement circulating on social media purporting that special visa arrangements have been made for passengers travelling from Kumasi Prempeh I International Airport to London Gatwick,” the GACL said in a counter statement.
It affirmed that its mandate does not border on issuing visa waivers.
“Additionally, for the record, Visa on Arrival in Ghana is handled by Ghana Immigration Service and not GACL or its associated agents. Similarly, GACL does not have any such visa waiver arrangements in place with the British High Commission, Ghana.”
It thus noted that the said statement is photoshopped and a scam.
“GACL would like to state that the photoshopped designed statement is a scam orchestrated to misinform the unsuspecting public. The general public is urged to disregard this mischievous statement.”
