Nhyiaeso MP Reassigned As Deputy Finance Minister
President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo has reassigned the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso Constituency, Hon Stephen Amoah, from the Ministry of Trade and Industries to the Ministry of Finance.
He replaces John Ampontuah Kumah who died on March 7, 2024.
The Jubilee House announced this in a statement issued by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin on April 2, noting his appointment takes immediate effect.
“His appointment takes effect immediately.”
Meanwhile, the former Deputy Trades Minister will be replaced by Member of Parliament for Achiase, Hon. Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo.
“President Akufo-Addo is hopeful that Parliament will, once again, on a bi-partisan basis, expedite the approval of his nominee, so he can join the Government forthwith, and assist in the delivery of his mandate for his second term in office,” the statement added.
Educational Background Of Stephen Amoah
Stephen Amoah holds a Master of Science degree in Strategic Finance Management from the University of Derby in the United Kingdom. He obtained the degree in 2007.
He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from MIT.
He also holds a PhD in Actuarial Science from KNUST.
