Nananom Honour Asantehene on Christmas Day

Traditional authorities have capitalised on the Christmas festive season to honour the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Chiefs, queens, various Divisions and traditional priests offered their substances in a show of appreciation for the Monarch.

Their offerings ranged from sheep to drinks, cash, and other items.

Among the traditional leaders were Offinsohene, Tanosohene, Terchirehene, Ejurahene, Bantamahene, Denyaasehene, Agonahemaa, Ejisuhemaa, and Goasohemaa.

The King reserved December 25, 2025, to mark Christmas with Nananom, his people and staff, embodying the spirit of Christ’s love.

Present at the occasion were Nananom; Kumasi Mayor Richard Ofori Agyeman-Boadi who represented the Ashanti Regional Minister; former Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah; Former Kumasi Mayor Sam Pyne; New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong; Tuareg Chief’s representative in Ghana; and other officials.

Also joining to pay homage were staff of Opemsuo Radio, Bodukwan Multi Fruit Processing Factory, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, Manhyia Palace Museum, Asante Kotoko SC, Manhyia Landl Secretariat, Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs and Manhyia Police Division.
