Nana Yaa Jantuah Lands Presidency Appointment
Former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Yaa Jantuah has received an appointment from President John Dramani Mahama.
She will be working as a Presidential Staffer per a release issued by the Spokesperson of the President, Felix Ofosu Kwakye on January 21, 2025.
Her name was among the 10 new appointments made to the Presidency.
Nana Yaa Jantuah resigned from her role as the National Secretary in December 2024 following internal wranglings in the party’s leadership.
This was after some party supporters demanded the dissolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) over allegations of incompetence, a demand that was heeded and led to the passage of a vote of no confidence to remove all actors on the NEC.
Specifically, Jantuah was accused of engaging in financial malfeasance which she consistently denied.
In an interview later last year, she noted that she used her personal funds to run some of the activities of the party.
According to her, the position she occupied subjected her to vilification.
