Nana Konadu Yiadom III Dɔte Yie: Planning Committee Invites Media For Briefing
The Planning Committee for the burial rites of the late Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the Queen of the Asante Kingdom, has invited the press for a briefing.
The meeting will take place in the Conference Room of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs on September 12, 2025.
It will commence at exactly 11 am, a notice issued by the Chairman of the Committee, Ambassador Nana Effah Appenteng, stated.
It comes after the Committee issued guidelines to aid media personnel in properly navigating the coverage of the upcoming traditional event set to take place from September 15 to 18.
Her Majesty will be buried on the last day.
Filing past is reserved to take place sequentially among dignitaries and the general public from September 15 to 18, between 5 am and 5 pm, except for the last day, when it will end at 11 am to make way for a burial service at 3 pm.
These days will also see the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, sit in state as the chief mourner.
A key point to note is the institution of the restriction on outdoor movement effective 7 pm on September 18 to make way for the burial of Her Majesty.
