Nana Konadu Yiadom III Dɔte Yie: Trading Activities Permitted Except On Thursday- Manhyia

The Manhyia Palace has announced that business activities across Asanteman may proceed without interruption for the first three days of the burial rites of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa.

However, it has directed all traders and businesses to shut down on the last day when the rites will climax.

This, the Palace said, would be homage to the late Queen.

“The public can go about their business as normal, but not on Thursday, 18th September 2025, where out of respect for the Asantehemaa, all activities must be halted.”

The carefully planned rites will witness a series of activities from September 15 to September 18, when the rites will come to an end.

Her Majesty will be buried on the last day.

Filing past is reserved to take place sequentially among dignitaries and the general public from September 15 to 18, between 5 am and 5 pm, except for the last day, when it will end at 11 am to make way for a burial service at 3 pm.

These days will also see the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, sit in state as the chief mourner.

A key point to note is the institution of the restriction on outdoor movement effective 7 pm on September 18 to make way for the burial of Her Majesty.
