My Ultimate Goal is to Improve Worker Welfare- Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama says his government’s primary focus is geared toward improving the welfare of all Ghanaian workers.

This, he noted, stands out in the government’s vision to grow the economy to create more jobs, better wages, and shared prosperity.

He said this during a high-level dialogue with Organised Labour at the Presidency on March 17, 2026.

President Mahama further called for continued collaboration between the government and Organised Labour, noting that the reform process will be implemented in phases through sustained consultation.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency, fiscal discipline, and sustainable economic growth.

The President also assured labour leaders that the government remains open about the true state of the economy, stressing that shared understanding is key to equitable distribution of national resources.
