My Manifesto Will Not Be ‘Copy and Paste’ – Nana Kwame Bediako

Nana Kwame Bediako, the independent presidential candidate for the upcoming 2024 general elections, has declared that his campaign manifesto will not succumb to the trend of “copy and paste” politics.

Speaking with Opemsuo Radio’s Kofi Boakye on Nkwantannanso, he indicated that in a landscape often characterized by recycled promises, he is taking a firm stance for authenticity and originality.

According to him, his manifesto will reflect the needs and aspirations of Ghanaians as he is on a tour to all the 16 regions.

“We are on a tour to all 16 regions to listen but not to talk to Ghanaians. To find out what will help Ghana. This campaign strategy, what we hear is what we will use for the manifesto, the manifesto must reflect the mind of the people  and not what a whiteman has written somewhere, 120 pages and we will copy and paste to come and lie and promise and fail Ghana.”

The declaration comes against the backdrop of past accusations of manifesto plagiarism in Ghanaian politics. In 2020, the New Patroitic Party accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of copying its manifesto.

Nana Kwame Bediako, the leader of the New Force Movement been making waves in Ghanaian politics.

Last year, his enigmatic presence on billboards across the nation, concealed behind a mysterious mask, sparked intrigue and speculation among the public. However, earlier this year, the veil of anonymity was lifted, unveiling Bediako as the face behind the mask.
