MoMo Vendors Murder: Three Arrested, One Other On The Run

The police in the Ashanti Region have arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of two Mobile Money vendors in the Region.
A statement issued by the Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, Deputy Commissioner of Police, said the suspects are 23-year-old Charles Kwame Danso, 29-year-old Philip Fordjour and 42-year-old Samuel Addae Mensah.
They were arrested on March 21, 2025, at Pankrono and Atimatim in the Ashanti Region.
“The suspects are currently in Police custody and will soon be brought before the court to face justice,” he added in a statement.
Fourth Suspect
Meanwhile, the police are on a manhunt for the fourth suspect identified as Martin Amoah who is on the run.
“Efforts are underway to locate the fourth suspect in the person of Martin Amoah a.k.a Augustine Amoah alias “Baba Macho” who is believed to be hiding in Kumasi, Dunkwa-on-Offin, Diaso near Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region or Accra.”
The statement further urged the public to assist with any relevant information that could lead to his arrest.
“Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Police via the Toll-Free number 191,112 (18555 MIN and Telecel).”
Robbery Attacks
The robbery attacks on the two vendors separately took place on February 13 and March 10.
The first incident took place at Krofrom where the victim, Patricia Nimako, tragically lost her life alongside a sum of money.
The second incident occurred when the victim, Gideon Owusu Sarpong, alias “Junior” was robbed and murdered at his residence in Kwadaso,
