Misunderstanding Rock IGP-Creative Art Industry Interaction
Reports reaching opemsuo.com have indicated that the interaction between the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akufo Dampare, and some members of the Creative Arts industry hasn’t been that smooth.
Some public figures staged walk-outs during the private meeting at the police headquarters in Accra, it is reported.
Media personality Kwasi Kyei Darkwa, popularly known as KKD is said to have walked out of the meeting after his question was downplayed by another in the meeting. He is reported to have left a few minutes after the meeting started.
Next on the list of walk-aways, was dancehall artiste, Charle Nii Armah Mensah, known in showbiz as Shatta wale.
According to a viral video in which Shatta wale was angrily explaining his reason for walking out, he said, “You invited me here, I’ve come here, I’m sitting down, people are taking out their phones, I alone took out my phone, some policeman wanted to talk to me.”
Meanwhile Graphic Online reported that the ‘dancehall king’ was taking footage of the event, which was against the rules of the meeting.
However, he went back into the meeting after the police administration engaged him, it is reported.
