Minority’s Persistent Advocacy Led to Reinstatement of Unfairly Dismissed Teachers – Ntim Fordjour

The Minority in Parliament has been credited with securing the reinstatement of teachers who were unfairly dismissed, according to Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, the Member of Parliament for Assin South and former Deputy Minister of Education.

He praised their relentless efforts in ensuring that the Ghana Education Service (GES) directed the reinstatement of teachers whose appointments had been unjustly revoked.

In a post on X on Thursday, March 6, Ntim Fordjour expressed gratitude to the Minority for their unwavering support, which he said played a crucial role in prompting the Director-General of GES to take corrective action.

“Thanks to the strong and determined advocacy of the Mighty Minority, the Director-General of GES has taken the right step. We will closely monitor the situation to ensure that every teacher who was unfairly and insensitively dismissed is reinstated,” he stated.

Ntim Fordjour reaffirmed his ongoing commitment to advocating for justice for all workers who have been treated unjustly and emphasized that the fight for fairness within the education sector would continue until all affected individuals are fully restored to their positions.

“The struggle is far from over. We will not stop until all our hardworking citizens who suffered these injustices are completely reinstated.”
