Messi’s Suspension By PSG Begins Today
The suspension of Argentina football star, Lionel Messi by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) takes effect from Wednesday, May 3, it has been reported.
The decision to suspend the player was reported by multiple sources on Tuesday.
He has been suspended for taking an unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia and the suspension affects his training sessions with the team and two games.
It will last for the next two weeks.
He took the trip right after PSG’s 3:1 defeat to FC Lorient at home on Sunday.
The suspension means he will not train with the group for Saturday’s match against Troyes. He will as well miss May 13 fixture against AC Ajaccio.
Pictures from Messi’s trip to Saudi Arabia with his family showed them exploring some tourist sites.
The Club is yet to issue an official statement.
