Medeama SC Unite With Fiase Golden Royal Ladies FC Per CAF Condition
Medeama Sporting Club has partnered with Fiase Golden Royal Ladies Football Club in satisfying the CAF Champions League conditions for the 2022/2023 season.
The union between the reigning Ghana Premier League Champion and the Division One Women’s League club was announced in a statement on June 22 by the Yellow and Mauves.
Medeama described the union as “another significant and exciting step forward”.
As part of the condition for the partnership, the club said it “will provide logistical and other support to the team in the Western Region Division One Women’s League”.
“Medeama is excited at the partnership with Fiase Golden Royal Ladies FC as we week to improving women’s football.”
CAF as part of its conditions for the men’s inter-club competition for 2023/2024 said participants must confirm the existence of their first women’s team which must be registered in official competitions played at national, regional or local levels recognized by the member association.
In case the club lacks one, it gave the option for an agreement with another entity that operates a women’s first team.
