Man Loses Life Over Avocado
A 25-year-old man has lost his life after he was shot for plugging an avocado without permission in his attacker’s house.
The incident happened on Saturday, April 22 around 11 pm at Subin in the Eastern region.
Reports indicate that the deceased, a Q-net worker, went into the house of the suspect with another and climbed the tree.
The suspect, a 65-year-old man identified as Ottu Acquah is said to have shot the young man in the head while he was on the pear tree plucking some of the fruits.
He was sent to the Subin Government Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Following this, community members massed up to demand justice and a swift response from the police.
According to them, the suspect has been threatening neighbours who trespass on his residence with his gun.
Meanwhile, he is said to be assisting in police investigations.
