Mahama’s Upper West Region Thank You Tour Rescheduled

President John Dramani Mahama will continue his nationwide “Thank You” tour in the Upper West Region on Friday.
He was expected to resume the tour today; however, it has been pushed to May 16.
The motive is not immediately known, but the tour will be an opportunity for the President to express his deep gratitude to the Chiefs and people of the various regions for their unwavering support during the 2024 general elections.
The President will address a grand durbar at the Jubilee Park in Wa and is expected to outline his administration’s priority projects for the region.
“Focus areas will include bolstering the region’s agricultural sector through strategic investments in agriculture and agro-processing, improving road networks, enhancing healthcare infrastructure, and implementing other crucial infrastructure projects,” a statement by the Jubilee House noted.
The president will further detail the government’s job creation initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of the people of the Upper West.
He will also highlight key achievements made in laying a solid foundation for the #ResettingGhana agenda. This agenda aims to propel Ghana towards sustainable development and economic prosperity.
From the Upper West, the President will head to the Greater Accra Region.
