Mahama’s SONA is Rejuvenating- Bagbin

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has expressed his satisfaction with the address of President John Dramani Mahama on the state of the nation, describing it as “rejuvenating”.

He opines that Ghana is now at its lowest ebb being a pale shadow of its past glory.

“Ghana, once an African icon, is at one of its lowest points, facing massive decay,” he said in a Facebook post after the event held in Parliament on February 27, 2025.

The Rt Hon Speaker is however confident that the measures outlined in the address would bring about respite to Ghanaians as it promises recovery, resetting, and restoration.

“President John Mahama’s address is rejuvenating, instilling confidence in a swift recovery, resetting our course, and restoring a more rewarding investment climate and social justice.”

He is particularly encouraged by the President’s promise to make tertiary education free for persons with disabilities.

“As a passionate advocate for persons with disabilities, I am particularly pleased with the bold move by the government to make tertiary education free for persons with disabilities.”
