Mahama’s Appointments to Presidency Tactical- Senyo Hosi
Former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors Senyo Hosi has characterized the appointments of soon-to-be President, John Dramani Mahama, to the Jubilee House as tactical.
The appointments released on Monday evening announced Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff, Dr. Callistus Mahama as Executive Secretary to the President, Prosper Douglas Bani as Head of Interim Security Taskforce, and Dr. Valerie Sawyerr as Senior Presidential Advisor, Governmental Affairs.
The list also had Augustus Goosie Tannoh as Presidential Advisor Responsible for 24-hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development, Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew as Legal Counsel to the President of Ghana and Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu as the Ag. Spokesperson to the President.
Their appointment takes effect today, January 7, 2025, as Mahama gets sworn into office.
In reaction to the appointments, the finance and economic policy analysts lauded the choices of the President.
Senyo believes Mahama, who takes over the country’s administration after his reelection, is in to leave a legacy with the calibre of people he surrounds himself with.
“I’ve seen and confirmed JM’s recent appointments. It tells us this, he is running a show for his legacy,” he said in a Facebook post, adding, “Commendable and tactical move.”
He also called the appointees “deep governance minds”.
