Mahama Begins “Thank You” Tour on Friday
President John Dramani Mahama is set to embark on a nationwide tour to express his appreciation to Ghanaians for the overwhelming victory in the 2024 Presidential election that saw his comeback to power.
A statement by the President said he will commence the tour in the Volta Region, his party’s stronghold, on January 24.
“The Presidency is pleased to announce that President John Dramani Mahama will visit the Volta Region this Friday as the first stop of a planned nationwide Thank You Tour.
“The tour will enable the President to express his sincere appreciation to the people of Ghana for the overwhelming support and trust reposed in him at the 2024 elections.”
In the Volta Region, the President will be welcomed with a grand durbar of chiefs, queen mothers, opinion leaders, religious leaders, members of various labour unions, and key representatives from the informal sector.
The Presidency envisions the event to solidify the bond between the President and the citizens while celebrating their vital contributions to the nation.
“The Presidency invites all Ghanaians to come together in unity, pride, and celebration during this special occasion. We look forward to a vibrant and successful event in the Volta Region as we recognize and honour our fellow citizens’ invaluable support and trust.”
