Mahama Ayariga Decries Military Brutalities Against Bawku Residents

Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has decried the reported military brutalities against the residents of Bawku in the Upper East Region.
The reports on the abuse followed the killing of a military officer in the conflict-battered town earlier this week.
It is alleged that soldiers have retaliated with physical attacks on civilians in the town.
The personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) are reported to have invaded homes, meeting places, and markets, beating and assaulting innocent civilians.
The lawmaker in a statement on the floor of Parliament emphasized that the military’s actions are unjustifiable and uncalled for.
He therefore urged the military high command to stop brutalities immediately.
