Lordina Mahama Enstooled Akroso-Asukawkaw Traditional Area Development Queen

Ghana’s first lady, Lordina Mahama, has been enstooled as the Development Queen of Akroso-Asukawkaw Traditional Area in the Oti Region.
She was bestowed the stool name Nana Oseadeayo Odamwaa II by the paramount chief, Nana Odamu Gyamfi III.
It follows the handing over of a new maternity and child health facility at the Asukawkaw facility, financed by the Lordina Foundation with support from donors and partners, in fulfilment of a request from the Chief a year ago.
This brings to four the number of Maternity and Children’s Wards built and handed over to communities and the Ghana Health Service by the Lordina Foundation.
This is in fulfilment of Mrs Mahama’s personal commitment and the objective of her Foundation to reduce Maternal, Infant and Child Mortality cases in Ghana’s hospitals.
The traditional leader expressed profound gratitude, calling the project a “life-saving initiative” that will ease prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care for Asukawkaw and the surrounding areas.
