Lord Amoah Moves to Kotoko

Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have secured the transfer of Lord Amoah, a right-back from Berekum Chelsea.

The 21-year-old is on a three-year contract at Kotoko and becomes the 12th player to be signed by the Porcupines within this transfer window.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of Lord Amoah, an exceptional young right-back from Berekum Chelsea, on a three-year contract after a successful completion of his medical in Kumasi,” they said in a statement

The player in an interview with the club’s media said he rejected a lot of offers since Porcupines have always been on top of his scale of preference.

“I may be young, but I know what I want and am very firm in my decisions. Despite interest from multiple teams, Asante Kotoko was always my first choice. Joining the biggest club in Ghana is a dream come true, and I am very happy.”

Meanwhile, Head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum showed excitement about the new addition.

“Lord Amoah is an incredibly talented right-back with immense potential. His experience at such a young age and his firm determination make him a valuable asset to our team. We are excited to integrate him into our squad and are confident he will play a very key role in the now and the future.”

Lord made 29 appearances for Berekum Chelsea in the previous season.

He made his debut in the 2021/2022 season.
