Kylian Mbappé Hospitalized

French forward Kylian Mbappé has been hospitalized, Real Madrid has announced.

In a statement on Thursday, Bernabeu confirmed he had an acute case of gastroenteritis and was set for different tests for suitable medication.

“Our player Kylian Mbappé has an acute case of gastroenteritis and has been hospitalized to perform different tests and apply the corresponding treatment.”

It comes after he missed out on Madrid’s Club World Cup game against Al Hilal in Xabi Alonso’s first game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

The Saudi Pro League side held the La Liga side in a 1-1 stalemate.
Madrid’s next club World Cup game is set for June 22 against Pachuca before meeting Salzburg on June 27.
