Kwabre East MP Pushes for Completion of Stalled Mamponteng Market

The Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, Hon. Onyina Akwasi Gyamfi Acheampong, has renewed calls for the completion of the long-delayed Mamponteng Jubilee Market, which has remained unfinished for over a decade.

During a parliamentary sitting on Wednesday, March 13, he questioned the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, about the government’s plans to complete the project.

In response, the Minister invited Hon. Onyina for further discussions on how to expedite work on the market and other abandoned projects in the Kwabre East constituency. He also pledged to provide details on the status of the stalled project.

The Mamponteng Market, once envisioned as a major trading hub for the area, has remained incomplete, causing inconvenience to traders and slowing economic activity in the constituency.

The MP’s intervention seeks to accelerate its completion to enhance business opportunities and improve local commerce.
