Kunsuhene Donates Equipment to Health Centre
Kunsuhene Nana Dr Agyemang Badu Duah I has donated health equipment worth GHC320,000 to the Kunsu Health Centre in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region.
The donated items include 15 modern beds, 15 mattresses, 3 sets of 35-inch flat-screen TVs, drip stands, and other essential medical equipment. This aims to enhance the healthcare services provided by the facility.
The donation was prompted by a recent visit by Nana’s wife, Oheneyere Dr Mercy Asiedu Agyemang Badu Duah, to the health centre due to an illness. During her visit, she identified several challenges faced by the facility, leading to her husband’s decision to provide support.
Oheneyere expressed gratitude to her husband for his developmental projects in the Kunsu community and emphasized the importance of a maintenance culture for the donated equipment. She urged the doctors, nurses, and patients to take good care of the items to ensure their longevity.
Mr Michael Owusu Kwakye, acting Ahafo Ano South West District Health Director, praised Nana Kunsuhene for his generosity, stating that he has been a great asset to the district.
He acknowledged the facility’s challenges, including electricity issues, the need for more equipment, and structural repairs. He also encouraged the staff to cultivate a maintenance culture to boost sustainability and save resources.
