Kudus Attributes GFAward To His Passion, Resilience And Pursuit For Purpose
Ajax midfielder Kudus Mohammed says winning the Footballer of the Year Award at the 2023 edition of the Ghana Football Awards is a testament to his resilience and passion.
He was up against Joseph Paintsill and Abdul Samed Salis in the category and toppled them all to win it.
His award was presented to him during an event at the Grand Arena at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) on Sunday, June 25.
He took to his Facebook page a day after receiving the award to express delight.
“Humbled to be named Footballer of the Year at the GFAwards 23.”
According to him, his win is not just a product of hard work but dedication, resilience and relentless pursuit of purpose.
“It’s a testament not only to hard work & passion but a journey of dedication, resilience & relentless pursuit of greatness for a voice & a purpose.”
He has dedicated the award to his “family, Nima, coaches & especially teammates” whom he says make football “more than a game”.
In April, the Ghana international footballer was named as one of the two Ghanaians in the 2023 Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 Class.
