KT Hammond Vents Anger At Milo & Black Stars
Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, Kobina Tahir Hammond has finally found the right spot to vent his anger at Ghana’s National team, the Black Stars, and its coach, Milovan Rajevac over the team’s abysmal performance that led to its exit from the ongoing African Cup Of Nations (AFCON).
He revealed that the way Milovan coached the team and the performance of the team has been “killing me and I’ve been looking for a vent.”
The MP admitted that he didn’t watch the matches of the senior national team because it would have been at his peril.
“I didn’t watch the match. For some time I stopped watching them but on this particular occasion I wasn’t very well, I was afraid that if I watched them my condition was going to deteriorate. “, he admitted.
“Coach Milovan, or whatever his name is, who the hell is he”, the vexed MP went on to use unprintable words on the Serbian coach.
He also directed the minister for Youth and Sports to “sack him (Milovan) or you yourself will be sacked” and added that “Milo has wasted good money with bad coaching and technical team of that caliber”.
KT Hammon says the country should opt for a Ghanaian coach and a team of Ghanaian technicians.
For the players, he asked, “What do they want? How much do they need from Ghana and how much has the nation of Ghana not expended on them. I cannot understand their mentality”.
Meanwhile, MP for Kwadaso, Kingsley Nyarko believes the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should assign a psychologist to psyche the players from their faith in black magic, what is called “juju”.
“I’ve read reports that most of the players put their faith in juju at the expense of hard work and discipline and I believe that the ministry of Youth and Sport and the GFA must find a way in getting competent psychologists in psyching the mind of the players”, Kwabena Nyarko said on the floor of parliament.
