Kotoko Prepare For RTU After Hearts “Massive Booster”
Asante Kotoko are hoping for their seventh league win when they clash with Real Tamale United (RTU) this Friday after their morale-boosting victory against Hearts of Oak on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Porcupines will host the Tamale-based club who were pipped 3-1 by Legon Cities away from home yesterday.
Addressing the press about the next game, Assistant Head Coach David Ocloo said their morale-boosting victory against Hearts will leverage their victory in subsequent matches in the Premier League and the MTN FA Cup.
“Beating Hearts here is a massive morale booster. It will really lift our games,” he said.
“We will go prepared just as always. We will go and work hard. We hope for a good result.”
Kotoko are seventh on the league table with 22 points, while RTU after 13 games have 14 points and placed 16th.
The relegation-threatened club have lost seven of their played games and won just four.
Meanwhile, Coach Ocloo has noted that his team is still being built.
“We are still building a team. We are not there yet. We are in the norming stage and we have a long way to go so we will take it match after match.”
